Hi, my name is Trace, I am 17 years old from Lancaster. I have been a student of music for 5 years. For the past 2 years, I have played Bass and Electric Guitar at my church weekly. I have taught many of my peers how to play and I am currently the person in charge of all the bands events and performances. My musical influences include Gary Moore, Colter Wall, and Tyler Childers. My teaching style can best be described as hands-on. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I allow students to figure out the correct way to play without completely guiding them through it. This helps to deepen their understanding, and it sets them up to face more difficult techniques without needing assistance. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the anatomy of the guitar, basic chord theory, all keys and notes, music theory that is structured around guitar, chords, scales, embellishments, and many other techniques and areas of study. I like to tell my students that the best music is an extension of themselves. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students play their first song. Hope to meet you soon!
