I love music! I love people! I appreciate teaching those who ha e a passion to do music. Especially singers. I am a very experienced singer. I've Been singing many many years and it is truly my passion and God given gift. In my youth I started with voice lessons. I started singing professionally at age 10. I sang with A singing llef the perfect touch out of Detroit Michigan and I also did shows with Martin Luther Kings family. I learned songwriting early for my mom was a poet and songwriter. My dad was a funk drummer so I was introduced to bands early. Many in my family was singers and dancers. At an early age I knew that singing was the only career path that I wanted to take. I sang some in church. I sang in many choirs and I sang throughout school and a lot of competition shows. I did many plays and musicals. I started working with children teaching music. I had a music promotion business for about 5 years where I myself put on special events along with my mother. We stated off doing shows in her back yard which developed into show in banquet halls. I worked with children and adults to develope their talent and do shows and events along with our team. I taught private voice lessons for children and adults and I put on shows myself with background singers a choir that I put together and the events included food beverages and djs and fun catering to both children and adults. I taught performing art classes in Detroit California and lasvegas. In lasvegas I was also in a band and had a thrift store that I combined with my music business. My mom and I sold specialty items in our store while also giving special events where we would perform along with our band and we included special word artist and painting artist. Presently and throughout my life as a singer I have worked other jobs mainly working with children and the elderly teaching and nurturing them in other capacities including general studies. I went to college taking courses in music. In high school I studied vice and music theory. I am now in Florida drawn here from musical friends and I perform at various venues as both lead duo trio and a background vocalist. I'm not contracted to do any particular shows. I participate in some great shows and sing with particular bands when I'm available and it suits me. I have plans to start a band of my own along with the two other singers that I'm a trio with. We have plans to sing at a few particular venues. My heart is in teaching and no matter what I will always teach. I'm a great teacher for I learn my student and I know what direction to take them. I know how to bring out the best in my student. I find out what they want and what they need as it pertains to music and their voice and stage presence. Their confidence and how they practice and build on their own is a key factor. I know what's important as far as their development in cultivating their vocals. I know how to help one develope their own style and know the best genres for them. I find out what places them in that comfortable space vocally and as a person a performer with a business mind in music. It spills off into their person life. Life is music. It has a flow a feel a growth a knowing a passion a love a figure it out and go for it type of mentality to it. You have to care. You have to be your best and so a lot from the heart and soul. There are places in music where you must be kind sometimes aggressive sometime emotional and so on and so on and so on. Songs are stories. You have to tell that story. Like right now as I tell my story I feel good in my heart knowing that I'm a caring person that is proud of the accomplishments for I've helped many and I'm looking forward to help many more. I know my purpose!!
