David "Soupbone"began playing Guitar at age 12, inspired by such guitar masters as Eddie Van Halen and Jimmy Page. By 16, he played his first gig with his first band Fast Forward. David won the "Tulsa's Best Rock Guitarist" Competition put on by Saied Music Company in 1991. By this time David's band Fast Forward had changed their name to Davinci. Davinci played a lot of local gig's including opening for Ozzy Guitarist Zakk Wylde's band Pride And Glory and Cinderella. David went on to play with Local Funk Band Freakshow, R-Kaine and toured with Red Dirt Country Artist Brandon Jenkins. David has played thousands of gigs with many bands and recorded as a studio session musician on countless projects for various local and regional artists. Currently, David plays with Bad Decisions, Charlie Redd, and as worship musician at Christ Church. David is a multi instrumentalist who began teaching Guitar at 18. He has a joy for teaching and is excited to welcome new students of any age or skill level. David is versed in many different styles, from country to rock. He is a man of few words with a brain that holds a catalog of thousands of different songs. David is patient and offers a stress free lesson that allows you to learn at your own pace.
