About Me
Gerard began playing woodwind and string instruments at the age of nine. Over the years, he developed his skills further by becoming a band director in both professional venues and in Middle and High School settings. He gained performance experience in popular music by playing at such venues as the Beacon Theatre in New York, NY with acts such as Indigo Girls and Matthew Sweet. Though Gerard can teach almost all genres of music and loves to do so his personal favorites are rhythm and blues, funk, and rock all of which had a great influence on his style of playing. Gerard loves music because it enriches the days and hours of people and loves teaching music because there is no better feeling than helping others gain skills to bring the joy of music into their own communities. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Gerard can help you expand and enhance your playing. Gerard is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals.
