Hi, my name is Steven. I am a guitarist and recording artist from Philadelphia. I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include rock, metal, pop, and. My teaching style can best be described as fundamental. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I encourage balanced learning-through songs, technique, and theory. In my lessons, you can expect to play along to your favorite songs, and write your own. I like to tell my students to not compare their learning journey to others. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing marked improvements. My favorite performances were traveling playing multiple shows in the same night. My students love that I explain things in terms that they understand. My approach as a teacher is to learn what the student already understands about music, and build a plan from there.
