Gwen began learning piano at the age of 3, so she has a strong belief that substantial learning can happen at a very early age. She recently moved to the area and prior to moving, she was a Music Director and piano accompanist for a small church in Wisconsin. She's had years of accompanying, performing, and educating. She began her college degree with a focus in Music Education with piano and voice as her primary instruments, but changed degrees when she decided these were better suited as passions for her instead of a full-time career. Gwen loves seeing people take on challenges and pursue them with confidence, while giving them the skills and knowledge to succeed. In her full-time job as a manager, she believes in leading people kindly, creatively, and confidently.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner -
A tailored lesson created to engage students in learning piano. I will teach them the essentials and basics of piano learning so they are educated on what they are playing. While doing so, I'll have them learn their favorite song on piano. I found with my years of piano lessons that I was most engaged when I was able to have agency over the songs I was learning. I believe students will be more akin to practicing and enjoying the learning the technicalities of piano if they're able to have choice in it. Depending on the genres of interest for the student, we will move forward with a balance of educating and creating.
Formal Education:
Taught under Debbie Masloski, with Northwestern and Juliard credentials Taught under Kay Belich, with Juliard credentials Two years of study in Music Education 8 years as Accompanist at Mukwonago High School 2.5 years experience as Music Director & Accompanist at Forest Park Presbyterian Church
