Julius began playing music at the age of 10. Over the years, he developed his skills further by learning as much about music as possible, from classical training in the trumpet, to self-taught guitar. He gained performance experience in the Colorado Springs area by playing at such venues as The Black Sheep and with acts such as As Usual-a pop-punk band in the Colorado area. Furthermore, Julius also performed as a trumpet player in symphonies in middle Georgia, deepening his knowledge in contemporary jazz. Additionally, with acts such as Nearly Spent, Julius performed in Southwest Florida venues such as Ollie's, Ceremony Brewing, and Howl's. Though Julius can teach many genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classical guitar and alternative guitar rock, metal, punk, progressive, etc. which had great influence on his style of playing. Julius loves music because it offers a creative outlet to release feelings of all kinds, and loves teaching music because no matter where someone is in their musical journey, they always have a chance to become more proficient in their craft.
