Hi! My name is Summer, I'm currently a senior in high school and I'll begin studying Classical Vocal Performance at Texas State University this fall! I have over 15 years of singing experience and about 5 years of formal training under my belt. Some of my musical influences include R&B figures Etta James, Lauryn Hill and Stevie Wonder, and opera legends Jonas Kaufmann, Luciano Pavarotti and Cecilia Bartoli! Some notable achievements of mine include •Texas UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest-Qualified for State for 2 out of the 3 years I've participated, and received a Superior rating the year i did not qualify. Currently preparing to compete for my 4th year as this is being written •Texas All-State Process-Received 2nd chair at the Region round and advanced all the way to Pre-Area •Several solo National Anthem performances •Multiple solos on choral concerts •Won 1st Place with an original song at a school-wide talent show I'm also an avid songwriter and a self-tought pianist and bassist.
