About Me
Hello I’m Andrewand I want to help you accomplish your guitar playing and other mentioned musical instrument goals. Meet Andrew: I’ve been teaching music lessons for 5 years. I teach online lessons from my private studio in Kenosha, WI. I'm 38 years old & I began playing in 1999 at the age of 13 accumulating over 25 years of playing experience & time teaching and working with hundreds of students since 2020. When I first began it was by playing my favorite music by artists like The Beatles, Blink-182, Green Day, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Sublime, and Weezer. It's very simple. Meet Andrew for your lessons on FaceTime or Zoom. Practice diligently between your lessons (reccomended 30 minutes per day minimum) Beginners/intermediate/experts are all welcome. All ages & backrounds welcome. It can be a real challenge to understand and play the guitar well. I study and teach a proven method that each student learns to help guide them through the fundamentals of guitar. These basic fundamentals are awesome for learning to play well. Much like baseball, basketball, or football there are cautions as-well as specific concepts like technique and theory that you simply must know before you can proceed with significant results. The goal is to eventually play your favorite songs which starts with routinely building up your most practical guitar skills. Along the journey with students I encourage them to bring in songs they want to learn the most to make sure they will be played correctly. Performing music is an enriching, healthy, sustainable activity for family and friends that incorporates all four main subjects in school History, Language, Math, and Science. Live music after working with a good instructor makes it very easy to enjoy each-other’s company while expressing feelings at moments that words alone do not allow through the powerful connection and chemistry of sound. Regards, -Andrew Testimonials: My son started guitar lessons with Andy in February 2024 at the age of 8 (now 9) and has LOVED it. Andy has done an incredible job of getting to know him, creating the type of student/teacher relationship that leaves Hunter eager to show Andy just how much better he becomes week after week. Andy, in turn, responds with genuine enthusiasm and shared excitement, creating the perfect balance of drive (wanting to show off every new skill) and fun. That’s not even the best part! Between February 2024 and May 2024, Hunters Reading scores jumped from 64th percentile to 93rd percentile-the jump was so remarkable I received a call from his teacher sharing her excitement! He is now part of enriched reading and has been recruited to join his schools “Battle of the Books.” Of every activity we have tried, learning to play an instrument has been, by far the most rewarding for all of us, and Andy is the perfect teacher for kiddos who are unsure or intimidated! -Christine Palmer
