About Me

Hello! My name Is Josh but I like to go by James. I've been involved in various music programs since I was 13 now 28 and have a partial music education from IUS. Since high school I've participated in marching band which I was the conductor for three years, winter drum ensemble which I played in the front ensemble, Jazz band where I played Tenor Saxophone, IUS pep bad where I played both Soprano and Tenor Saxophone, IUS Choir where I sang Tenor, And lastly I was the director of the Acapella Club at IUS for a year where I arranged and taught Acapella pieces to my peers. I remain active with other musicians in my community as I am in a jazz band at the CMA Community Music Alliance and am currently working on producing my own original music. I play at open mics, busk street preform, and have played at a few venues including the KDF festival, Floyd County Brewing Company, and Fuzzypig Festival. That being said, the most important thing you should know about me is I have an unending and unyielding love for music. I firmly believe that music can change hearts, minds, souls, and the world. My favorite thing about music is it's capability to sway and change your emotions. After all, music is what feelings sound like.
