Hi, My name is Louis. I have been playing guitar for over 35 years and I've had students all ages. I love all music and I think music is an important part of life and I love putting people on the path to creation. Something that is sorely missing in the education system. I believe in making lessons fun by teaching popular songs students enjoy but to also teach basic music theory and it's relation to the songs being learned. I look forward to sharing the gift of music.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Teaching anything should always be as fun as possible so I do my best to always keep fun in the mix. In general, I like to teach beginners the basic chords and their shapes, strumming patterns and finger placement and finger placement exercises. I will also try to teach popular songs selected by me or the students choices. No better start than learning the songs you love. I will also sprinkle in basic theory concepts as well. Intermediate stundents will take their basic understanding of theory to the next level by learning scales, chord construction and where the notes are located up and down the down the fretboard. They will also be introduced to the modes of each scale. Every student is different so I keep my approach flexible.

As a younger man in my 20's I was in an original rock band and p;ayed about 20 gigs
Experience Teaching:
When i lived in Rochester new york I taught my I taught my nephew how to play. Through him I gained 3 other students. We worked together for 4 years. Brought them up to the intermediate level I was playing at the time. I was also involved in a summer camp music class for children in kindergarten and the first grade. We Introduced them to various instruments, played games based on the instruments and their sounds and of course sing-a-longs.
