What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
In lessons with me, students can expect to learn about all aspects of singing. Whether you're preparing for a musical, singing in a band, or just want to learn for fun, I can help you get the sound and look that you want. Learning how to sing is very different than other instruments. Rather than learning the parts of your instrument, you have to learn the parts of your body, and you must have a deep understanding of how your mind works. I believe the biggest thing holding most people back from using their voice to it's fullest potential is a mental block, and I can show you the right tricks to get around it. A lot of beginner singers don't realize there is much more to being a successful vocalist than just having a nice voice. A vocalist's main job is to entertain. Your look, stage presence, and personality all play a big part. I've been singing with some of the East Coast's top cover bands for 3 years now, so I have a lot of advice to give on these topics. If you already have some singing chops, I can still help you expand your skills even more. There are so many different ways to use your voice, and as musicians we can't ever become complacent and think "Yeah, I sound good enough. I'll stop practicing." There is always room to grow and learn.
