Hi, my name is Brody and I am a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and keyboardist from Amarillo, Texas. I have been a student of music for 14 years and counting, which is nearly half of my life. My teaching style can best be described as one that evaluates each student according to their desires, needs, and abilities. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I will ensure the student can learn to become musicians in and of themselves. I only consider myself a success if the student no longer needs instruction after the appropriate time they spend under mine. In my lessons, you can expect to learn functional theory, how each instrument can add its own essence into a greater piece of music, as well as stand on its own. My speciality is songwriting and lyric writing, and also being able to craft melodies and harmonies to existing lyrics. I primarily teach guitar, especially centered around songwriting, but I can also teach bass and piano to those at a beginner level. I am open to teaching anyone who wishes to learn to play an instrument for any reason, however, if you are someone who is especially looking to write songs, I’m the perfect instructor for you!
