25 Years
Hey everyone, I’m Johnny, and I’ll be your instructor. I’ve been playing guitar for abouy 22 years, and over time, it’s become more than just a hobby—it’s a passion that I love sharing with others. Whether it’s strumming classic country, picking out bluesy riffs, or just letting the music take over, the guitar has been a huge part of my life. As an instructor, my goal is to make learning guitar both fun and rewarding. I know how frustrating it can be at first, but I also know the excitement of nailing a song for the first time. I’ve had the privilege of teaching veterans through Guitars 4 Vets, helping students of all skill levels build confidence and find joy in playing. So whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, I’m here to help. Let’s make some music!"**

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
In your first lesson with me, expect to start with the basics. I’ll introduce you to the guitar—its anatomy, how to hold it properly, and how to produce clear notes. You’ll learn some fundamental strumming techniques and a few essential chords, like A major, E major, and B major. I’ll also teach you some tips for transitioning between chords smoothly. I’ll make sure we go at a comfortable pace, and I encourage you to ask questions anytime you need clarification. By the end of the lesson, you’ll have a simple song to practice at home—something familiar and beginner-friendly, like Folsom Prison Blues. My goal is to get you comfortable with your instrument, excited about playing, and ready to build on your skills each week.
