Diane O.

Diane began learning to play piano at age 8. She began writing piano music by the age of 9. At age ten, Diane entered a national contest and was awarded an Outstanding for her work, “Dominica.” Diane began studying voice at the age of 15. After graduating high school, Diane attended Ouachita Baptist University, majoring in music. She left to get married and raise a family. She returned to Ouchita in 1986 and in 1990 Diane graduated with a degree in Music Theory and Composition. During her time in College, Diane was named “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.” She played Dolly Levi in the annual Drama Department musical of “Hello Dolly.” She also placed first in her category in the Regional 3 state, and the State of Arkansas Competition of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Diane was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Women’s Music Fraternity and Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Fraternity. She graduated Cum Laude from Ouachita Baptist University. Mrs. O’Nale taught piano and voice privately for 10 years. She then taught public school music for 15 years.
