Hi, my name is Camen and I am a Violinist from Tampa, FL. I have been a musician for over 10+ years. My musical influences include engaging with students on their works of music and I also enjoy listening to classical music! My favorite composer to listen to would be either Bach or Tchaikovsky. My teaching style can best be described as a calm approach with a twist in a technical sympathetic strict manner with the idea of growing these students. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I succeed the students that I taught if they’re willing to put in the work and to always have lots of fun in the process! In my lessons, you can expect to learn techniques on the bow, various exercises, and measure by measure support on the pieces. I like to tell my students that the work you put in by practicing using the techniques and methods used from the lesson will demonstrate your dedication and commitment to succeed on the violin. My favorite thing about teaching is the progress the student makes overtime. My favorite performance was my junior recital performance at UCF, playing the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. My former students love that I had admiration and love towards teaching them the art of music and the development of their craft by playing the violin. I primarily teach violin, but I can also teach beginner piano. My approach as a teacher is to hopefully meet all of the students and get to know them better over the course of time.
