Hi, my name is Claire and I am a licensed professional music educator from the Illinois State Board of Education. I have been studying voice and choral music for 15 years. I started as a singer in a children's choir and have since become a conductor of various choirs. My teaching style can best be described as encouraging, student-centered, and customized to each individual's needs. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe every student has a unique voice and learning should be fun! In my lessons, you can expect to learn healthy vocal techniques and gain confidence in your musical expression through repertoire and engaging exercises. My favorite thing about teaching is connecting with students and watching them grow both musically and personally. I primarily teach classical singing, but I can also teach contemporary styles such as musical theatre and worship singing. My approach as a teacher is to create a supportive and inspiring environment where students feel safe to take risks, explore, and thrive. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
In my vocal lessons, students can expect a personalized and supportive learning environment where they will develop healthy vocal techniques and a deeper understanding of music. They will also have the opportunity to explore a variety of musical styles, from classical to contemporary, while building confidence in both their vocal abilities and stage presence. My lessons focus not only on technical skills but also on developing an appreciation of music.
