About Me

Hi! I'm Max, and I am a voice teacher based in Brooklyn, NY. My teaching experience contrasts uniquely with my performance experience, primarily in that I have often applied my understandings of the voice in a variety of genres. I am a classical vocalist who has performed in the US and Europe. I have obtained a Master's Degree in classical voice and was additionally offered a full scholarship for a Doctorate Degree in classical voice in the past. Over the course of my graduate study, I was offered the opportunity to premiere a leading role in a contemporary opera by a Guggenheim Fellowship-winning composer. I have two years of private voice teaching experience, having completed vocal pedagogical coursework that honed on acoustic and kinesthetic vocal pedagogy and voice science which culminated in an internship as a voice teacher; I also taught voice at my University as well as in collaboration with a remote tutoring platform. I have trained students of all ages one-on-one in pop/contemporary, musical theatre, rock, jazz, and classical voice over the course of my teaching experience, acknowledging and tailoring my teaching philosophies toward students of a myriad of different experience levels.
