Ms.earned her Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education with a concentration in Choral/General Music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she graduated summa cum laude. During her time at UNCG, she studied under esteemed faculty including Dr. Brett Nolker in choral/general music education and Professor Clara O’Brien in voice. Her coursework and training emphasized both pedagogical excellence and vocal performance, providing her with a strong foundation in music theory, and vocal technique. She was consistently recognized for academic achievement, earning a place on the Chancellor’s and Dean’s Lists throughout all four years and receiving the Marilyn F. Griwnis Gray Scholarship from Delta Kappa Gamma, an international society for key women educators.

Under the mentorship of Professor Clara O’Brien, fined her classical technique and stage presence, preparing her for both solo and group performance work. Beyond her collegiate performances, she has conducted and led student performances in public concerts—such as seasonal programs and community celebrations—highlighting her ability to bring music to life both as a performer and conductor. Her performances reflect a deep understanding of vocal artistry and a commitment to making music a shared, expressive experience.

Ms.teaches Level 1 and 2 Choir at Kidznotes, a nonprofit music lessons organization, where she has coordinated performances and collaborated with orchestral programs to create meaningful musical experiences for students. Her current role is a General Music Teacher at Fayetteville Street Elementary School. There, she has designed engaging K-5 music lessons aligned with NC K-5 Music Essential Standards. Additionally, her background includes substitute teaching, student teaching at the high school level, and internships in middle and elementary schools have all shaped her adaptable teaching style.
