I have been involved in the music industry for the past forty years.  I am a certified music teacher and hold a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.  I have completed the Master’s Degree program in Jazz Studies at the University of Northern Colorado.  I have played professionally fairly consistently throughout my music career.  I am presently employed as a teacher at the Colorado Contemporary Music College in Fort Collins, CO.  I also substitute taught in the public school system which gave  me the opportunity to conduct orchestras consisting of violins, violas, cellos and basses as well as concert bands and stage bands.  I have taught private lessons to students of all ages on most instruments as well as in solfege.  These students ranged from beginner to advanced levels of proficiency.  I owned a music store in Denton, TX called Piano Forte Music Center.  Owning a music store gave me insight to the music industry from a business oriented point of view.
