About Me

My voice lessons began right after my first solo at school, taking place after school with my Elementary Music Teacher and that summer with her and the other kids that expressed interest in my home. She taught me everything she could and then told me to look for another teacher. I studied with Dorothy Duensing, and Professor Frances Brockington, then attended Interlochen Arts Academy continuing my studies with Jeffrey Norris and Nicole Phillibosian, and sometimes with Gentry. After Graduating, I attended the Cleveland Institute of Music, where I studied with Professor Beverly Rinaldi for 1 1/2 years. I decided to transfer to University o Hawaii at Manoa where I could develop my skills and talents while looking into my other interests and study other subjects. I studied with Mr. Mount at school and intrigued by the Italian method of Bel canto from La Scala, Milan, I studied out of school at Bel Canto School of Music, and Pedagogy with Dr.Maya Hoover. After Graduation, I went home and worked weekly with Professor Emeritus George Shirley at U of M, then relocated to Texas and studied with Jeffrey Snider at the University of North Texas, and now studies with a world-renowned Professional Opera Singer in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

I have taught privately with students at University of Hawaii and families in Michigan and have taught all ages in Texas, over 20 clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. I also have experience teaching and enjoy working with children and adults with disabilities. Teaching music has been very rewarding to me.
