What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Learn to hold sticks correctly, read music, rudiments & how to play various grenres of music!
Formal Education:
I studied music theory under nationally known theorist Wallace Bauer, at El Camino College. I got to the point of European chord progressions
Private Education:
Drum lessons with Kay Carlson, Starting age 13. In my twenties I studied with Buddy Rich's friend Richard Wilson. Known as the technical genius best to study with. As has many of today's top studio drummers.
Performing Experience:
Since I was 8 years old, I've performed with my guitar playing sister. Fourth Wall was an original band in Los Angeles. We were top drawing band in most of the local clubs we played; The Roxy, The Whiskey, Madam Wongs, Club 88, and many others. I'vebeen in many performance & recording situations sinve.
Experience Teaching:
I began teaching at age 17. After studying with Richard I incorporated technique into my teaching repertoire. This was in addition to the reading & percussion basics
