I have been teaching Bass lessons for 20+ years. I have been playing bass guitar for over 30 years. I focus on major and minor scales, left and right hand techniques, hand positioning, strengthening exercises, and much more. I have been producing music in my own recording studio for years which has taught me that it's not how many notes you can play, it's what notes to choose and how to deliver them. I like to teach students their favorite songs and try to keep the music fun and modern. I've been called music coach before because I teach students about being a performer and the ins and outs of being an artist. Music to me is more than just fingers on a fretboard. It's a way to inspire and entertain people. It is a way of life.

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
The 1st series of lessons will focus mainly on timing using a metronome and drum tracks. I will record the lessons and track progress as the student improves and discuss the results. Once good timing is established then we focus on major & minor scales while strengthening the hands & fingers. To keep students interested and engaged I will learn & teach them a favorite song every few months to change it up a little.
Formal Education:
Took Bass lessons for 2 years in 1995.
Private Education:
Studied Minor and Major scales, Circle of Fifths, Odd time signatures and Poly rhythms, Music Theory
Performing Experience:
30 years playing bass in various cover and original rock bands.
Experience Teaching:
I currently have 2 weekly students learning Bass guitar.
