Sam F is proficient in and teaches Bass Guitar Lessons .Degree and Field of Study:
Award Name:
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
I want to go in the direction you want to go. Let's talk about what kind of music you want to play, and then discuss the goals to getting there. I can move quickly or slowly depending on how fast you pick things up. Every student is different and unique and should be treated as such!
Formal Education:
I graduated from Webster Groves High School in St. Louis where I studied jazz and upright bass. Then I got my bachelor's degree in Music Education from Loyola University New Orleans.
Private Education:
I started my private education with some small time guitars players in St. Louis, but later found myself learning from Bassists such as Christian McBride, John Clayton, and Jeff Campbell from Eastman University. In college, my teachers have been great local bassists such as Jesse Boyd, Roland Guerin, and Dave Anderson, who are considered the very finest from New Orleans.
Performing Experience:
I have been performing for audiences since I was 12. I have played over 1,000 shows, and I have toured all over the country with various groups. There is nothing I enjoy more!
Experience Teaching:
I started teaching students when I was in High School. Mostly teaching upright bass. Then in college, I was a music education student, so I spent a lot of time working with local kids and teaching them electric bass and piano.
