Hello My name is Christopher. I have been a Percussionist for over 15 years. I absolutely love music and all of its sub categories, Even now I work as a professional musician with Colorado's best Bar/Baht Mitzvah entertainment group Amuse Entertainment(formerly known as Figure 4 Productions) A huge Music influence in my life would be my Grandfather Chololo Gonzalez. He was a famous Latin percussion player, he played with many Latin greats such as, Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, and Tito Puente.Throughout High school I wrote all the music for my drum line and also taught them a lot of what they know. Our instructor simply quit one year so I and another friend decided to take it upon ourselves to run the line. I have been told my teaching methods are always fun exciting, and keep the student coming back for more. I make music fun and easy to learn, that way you wont become frustrated with a piece of music and quit altogether. My curriculum would consist of seeing where the student is at in terms of skill and knowledge and we will work from there. Basics are always a must in any genre of music so teaching basic rhythms, rudiments, and poly-rhythms are essential. I can teach a variety of genres and play styles as well, remember percussion doesn't only refer to a drum set. With that in mind the studio I am a part of has top of the line recording equipment, beat machines, and all sorts of other knick-knacks to make your experience that much greater. Don't be fooled by my age(20) every person I play with is almost 10 years older than I am and even they ask me for advice and lessons! I work with kids all the time so teaching them is nothing new, Even now I tutor professional musicians. At the Studio we have a full kit complete with a crash cymbal, ride cymbal, splash, and high hat, oh and did I mention double bass peddles? If a traditional set isn't your thing I also specialize in African/Latin hand percussion and electronic percussion. If you ever even thought of taking some lessons to further yourself as a person, or to just impress that lady you've always wanted, them I'm the guy for you.
