After playing in the New York City area, Jim moved to the Upstate of South Carolina in 2005. Since then, he has played hundreds of shows in the full band, acoustic, and orchestral formats. Jim currently works as a freelance drummer, and has started Drummer At Large, LLC. He plays professionally as a drummer, percussionist and vocalist. Having a degree in Music Education, Jim enjoys working with students of all ages. Focusing on the individual student, Jim takes a practical approach based on their direction. Jim teaches practical drumming to help students leap forward on their musical journey, wherever that may lead them.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
The student will learn realistic drumming techniques that will allow him or her to be a versatile player. We will start playing by ear to the student's choice of music, and move into drum notation if that is the direction the student wants to go. We'll identify common beats and identify parts of music that will allow the student to learn new songs quickly.
