Hi, I'm Ryan. My main instrument is the drums although I play piano, sing, and play harmonica as well. I am influenced by many different genres of music. My teaching method for the drums would involve proper technique, developing chops and groove, teaching different styles of music, and teaching the student how to read music. I can also teach hand percussion. For the piano, I could teach the student scales, chords, progressions, technique, and songs. For voice, I can teach various exercises.

I have studied with Zak Najor(Greyboy All Stars, Karl Denson, Everlast), Chuck McPherson(Freddie Hubbard, Roberta Flack), and Michael Atesalp(Big Mountain).
Performing Experience:
I have performed at venues all across San Diego in groups of all different styles of music. Styles ranging from rock, jazz, funk, ska, hip hop, reggae, African, Latin, Indonesian, and cover music. I have played with and/or shared the stage with musicians including Karl Denson(Lenny Kravitz), Zak Najor(Everlast), Neville Staple(The Specials), Kevin Freeby(Jason Mraz), Steve Haney(Stevie Wonder), The Lovin' Spoonful, Robb Lawrence(Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience), and Kevin Delgado(Tito Puente).
Experience Teaching:
I was a teacher's assistant at La Jolla Elementary teaching fourth and fifth graders how to read music and how to properly use their instruments. I have also taught privately.
