Review About Me
I have been and active musician since I was young I started playing traditional wind instruments, then I was focus on acoustic guitar which I study for several years in the college I study piano, and saxophone and I have been performing in different kind of music formats and styles. The way I teach. First I evaluate the music level of the student, his/her music interest, the kind of music and style he/she want to play and the availability of time for practicing. After that I design the process including the technique of the instrument, scales, music theory (Including scales and chords relationship, symbols etc) sight reading, and performance tunes. I use all the material as a toll to teach how to play the instrument instead of accumulate songs without any process. I select very carefully the material for each student according to the level and interest.

I study six semesters of classical guitar and folk music in an Distric Music Academy, I have a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and I just graduated last May from A master’s degree in Jazz Music Education from University of Northern Iowa with proficiency in Jazz Piano, Jazz Bass and Drums.
Private Education:
I have taken private guitar, piano and saxophone lessons
Performing Experience:
I have perform in jazz quartets, jazz trios and jazz duets playing saxophone, I formed and direct a salsa band called Lucho Rey y su Salsera for more than six years now.
Experience Teaching:
I have work in elementary and high school for more than 12 years and in college level for two years and I have been teaching private lessons since 1990. I have been a coach of a Jazz Big Band and Jazz Combo in University level. I have been performing as a professional musician since 1997.
