My name is Audree and I have been teaching guitar for about 12 years. If you are someone who has been playing and you are stuck on playing open chords and are ready to start doing barre chords, I can help. If you struggle with rhythm, I can help you to isolate and break down strumming and picking patterns. If you have trouble with soloing and how the fretboard works, I can also help with that. If you are someone who needs help singing and playing at the same time, I can help you separate your voice from what you are doing on the guitar. I can teach a lot of different styles. My favorites are funk, r&b, rock, pop and blues.

I am also a drum instructor. I have been teaching drums for over 30 years now. If you are a beginner, I can get you started. I can teach basic to complicated beats. I teach how to apply rudiments to the drum set and lots of drum fill concepts. I will also guide you on how to make sure you are sitting comfortably at the kit and will teach you proper hand and foot technique. I also love working on speed.

I am a vocal instructor as well. If you struggle with pitch I can help you. I can teach some breathing technique. We can work on interval and scales to expand your vocal vocabulary. We can also break down runs by your favorite singers.

I teach bass guitar too. I can teach simple thumping and plucking. I also teach progressions. I am also able to break down the fretboard so you can understand it.

I teach keyboard lessons. I can show you how to play scales, chords and progressions in each key.

I tend to use number systems for guitar, bass, keys and even vocals so that way if you want to change keys you will be able to transpose without having to use the transpose button. Regardless of what instrument I am teaching I always try to encourage my students to practice in a way that is fun and will help you out in real life situations no matter what your goals are. I have also been able to help with tryouts and auditions. I am a very goal-oriented teacher, so I strive to make the lessons all about your goals.

I have been playing in bands since I was 19. I currently play drums, rap and sing with a band called Soul School and fill in with quite a few other bands. I love playing and teaching and I feel blessed to be able to do it. There is nothing more rewarding than when my students are able to do what they set out to do.
