I use a fast-track method of introducing basic left and right hand techniques, scales, and chords in order to have the student playing actual songs in a very short time, typically less than a month. Going forward, techniques are taught and presented with an example of the technique in a song so the student both learns to apply technique in a melodic way as well as helping keep the exercises fun.
