My name is Joel M. I have been playing bass guitar for over 38 years My personal influences have a wide range from modern rock, funk, fusion, finger tapping, chords and slap. I have years of improvisational roots. We can learn and jam songs that you want to learn how to play, or focus on the art of constructing bass lines for your own music. We can also study specific styles of bass writing. Some popular bands that have influenced me include, but are certainly not limited to: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rush, Yes, Dream Theatre Metallica, and Pink Floyd. I believe in teaching the foundations of solid, flowing bass-lines, basic music theory, and above all to have fun while playing! I will be able to lay a solid foundation for you to be well on your way to learning how to play bass guitar effectively.
