About Me

I have played Piano for 20+ years. I've Sung vocals for 21 Years, and improvised hand percussion for as long as I can remember. Before attending College I sang for Two years in the "Colorado All-State Choir" In my senior year Rene Clausen, conductor of Concordia Universities Choir oversaw the mixed choir that year of which I was proud to take part in. In College I majored in Fine Arts; emphasis in Music Liberal Arts, playing piano, singing in the choir, and playing bass drum in the marching band. My influences were permanently through Classical music of Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Handel, Haydn, etc. and Jazz musicians, Keith Jarred, Steve Barta, Mathew Schildt, Charlie Perker, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sanatra, Winston Marseilles, Lyal Mays and many others. I have studied Jazz for about 10 years with Grammy Nominated Pianist Steve Barta who has helped me create the basic foundations for how I teach music theory students. Recently I have started teaching myself boogy woogy and blues. As of this year I have released my debut solo piano album "That Perfect Moment" and scored an introductory track for a short film "Halloween-Unmasking Hellnight" I have a two albums scheduled for release in 2014.
