I participated in grade school, junior high, and all high school bands, and was percussion section leader with many high level awards. I majored in the theater AA program in junior college, plus had piano and jazz band classes.

I took 8 years of private music lessons with a nationally recognized local performer and instructor. I accomplished all levels and styles.

I performed in all school performances, recitals, solo and ensemble competitions, school pit orchestra, and travel public performances. I performed as an actor, singer, dancer for high school productions. I performed as an actor in college productions. I performed professionally as a local actor. I performed publicly in my private teacher's percussion ensemble. I performed professionally in local combos within my age group, and with older adult groups. I performed professionally with local club circuit acts as a young adult. I performed full time professionally with many local groups. I toured fulll time nationally for 2 years as the drummer for ""Head East"". I toured full time nationally and internationally for 7 years as the drummer for ""The Lovin' Spoonful"". I am in ""The Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of rock and Roll"" I performed dates nationally and in Canada as ""Ringo"" for the original Broadway franchise of ""Beatlemania"" for 1 year.

I have taught privately at retail music store's teaching studios. I have taught privately in my home studios. I have instructed privately for "in-home" lessons at student's houses. I have taught in the public school systems as percussion specialist. I have taught in charter and private schools.
