About Me
I am classically trained in Opera and have extensive performing and touring experience as a pop/rock musician. You might have seen me on American Idol Season 10 as a finalist. After suffering from a vocal injury in 2008 and making a full recovery, I gained a thorough knowledge of rehabilitative exercises and techniques to help singers sing healthier and more efficiently. I know both classical and contemporary repertoire, am an expert in pedagogy, and have expert performance practice advice that comes from real world experience.
As a songwriter, I have been writing pop sings since I was 4 years old. After getting a degree in classical music, I gained a classical understanding of harmony and form. Not only do I get pop music because its what I grew up with, but I understand chord progressions, song form, arrangements, and what makes a good lyric. I have experience co-writing with artists from NYC to LA to Nashville. I know how to make a good song great, and know how to help you put that great song on paper.
