John recently joined the team at Taylor Robinson Music, having come from his own musical instruction services company, JG Innovations, Inc. For over twelve years John enjoyed teaching a variety of students of all ages and ability levels from beginning to advanced. He not only taught in his home, but provided mobile services to large number of clients whose busy schedules called for the convenience of “at home” lessons.
John specializes in piano and guitar instruction, but his interests extend beyond teaching, to include performance, composition, arrangement and work-for-hire opportunities. He enjoys a wide range of music genres, including jazz, classical, blues, pop, rock and folk. For more than 20 years, John has enjoyed performing at a wide variety of musical venues and events, including music clubs, weddings, festivals and private functions.
He formed the jazz trio “On the Rocks”, consisting of piano, bass, drums and vocals. The group plays regularly at Nonna’s Bistro in Denver, as well as other locations. The group plays a great deal of John’s original works as well as selected jazz standards, blues and ballads.
John was commissioned to compose and arrange original music for the Discovery Channel’s “Assignment Discovery” program, whose focus was to bring historical, cultural, technological and current events/issues into the classrooms of elementary, junior and high schools, using various media. He subsequently was given the opportunity to write original music as a promotional tool for the Gateway Resort in Grand Junction, CO, where seminars and courses are offered to the public on cutting edge ideas in science and technology.

Music Background:
For the past twelve years, I have been self-employed as
President of JG Innovations, Inc., a musical instruction services

drums and vocals.
Formed the John Gallion Band which played at the first annual
Gateway Blues
Festival near Grand Junction, CO. The Gateway Resort is owned
and operated by Discovery Channel founder and CEO, John Hendricks.
Barring any budgetary constraints, I will be composing original
music as a promotional tool for the resort as it evolves.

the classrooms of elementary, junior and high schools, using
various media. Music consisted of a main theme, and 5 variations on
that theme, as applicable to program content.
