John began playing music at a very early age with guitar lessons at 8 years old. At age 12 he began learning Saxophone and Flute and quickly became a professional by age 13. John was well sought out by his peers to help them out in learning to play as well as he did. His way of teaching is very intuitive and no two students are taught the same way. His approach is a diversified instructional methodology that addresses the unique ways that different people learn and yields satisfying results for the student. Early influences include: James Brown, Santana, The Beatles, America, Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Earth Wind and Fire, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Smith, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Chick Corea, Joe Beck, The Brecker Brothers, Joe Farrell......
