Born and raised in New Britain Ct. Resided in New York City area from 1978 to 1987. Resident of Miami FL since 1988. Married with one child.

attended Berklee College of Music, Boston MA. for two years- '70-'71 and '71-'72.

Private lessons in jazz guitar from: George Benson, Chuck Wayne, Mark Elf, Victor Juris (N.Y.C) and Mick Goodrick (Boston).Private voice lessons from: Jacqueline Jarrett and David Baker (Hartford Conservatory), Jane Ellison (Loyola University in Montreal), Carmine Gagliardi (N.Y.C.), and Gina Moretta (Miami).
Performing Experience:
Professional Experience: Full time musician, arranger, orchestra leader, vocalist, instrumentalist (guitar, piano, electric bass) since 1973.
'82 to'88 - resided and performed in New York City where I established the jump swing band, Lew Willie & the Snapdragons, and played at such venues as the Ritz and the Lone Star Cafe.
'88 - relocated to south Florida. Here, Lew Willie & the Snapdragons has been a featured act for many private and civic events. As a musical arranger, I have a vast amount of experience in many varied and eclectic styles. A demo of my audio production work is available on request.
'92 to'95 - guitarist for the Miami Heat Band, a trio that played all the Miami Heat basketball games at the Miami Arena.
'03 - musical arranger for Norwegian Cruise Lines.
Experience Teaching:
1975-'77-Musical Director of Neighborhood Arts Program (funded by CETA and the National Endowment for the Arts) in New Britain, CT-working with economically disadvantaged high school students in classroom situation. Directed orchestra and several ensembles. 1979-'81-Faculty member of Hartford (CT) Conservatory and the Loomis Chaffee School-private guitar lessons. 2-Guitar instructor at Hot Keys Music in Boca Raton. '06-'07-Piano and guitar instructor at Music America in Davie. '05-'08-Piano and voice instructor at Live School of Modern Music (formerly Juliart) in North Miami. '07-'09-Guitar instructor at Performing Arts Network in North Miami. '08-present-voice, piano, and guitar instructor at Peaches School of Dance and Music in North Miami Beach. I can compose, arrange, and orchestrate for ensembles of any size as well as teach all levels of guitar: rock, jazz, classical, or folk. I also teach piano, electric bass, and voice.
