When my parents discovered an early ability for music in my eagerness to play by ear, they enrolled me in piano lessons at the age of 4. I studied classically for the next 11 years and regularly performed in recitals, competitions, weddings and other events. I began teaching my first private students at the age of 14 and supported them through their first recital performances. For three years I attended Florida State University's Summer Music Camp programs and studied under Professor Leonidas Lipovetsky in the Honors Piano Camp during my last year of attendance. When I was 18 I turned to songwriting and composing my own music, frequently performing and by the age of 20 I was signed to a Canadian record label in Montreal, QC. I subsequently recorded and released my music, performing extensively around Canada and Europe before signing a second record deal with a label in Los Angeles. I have had my music licensed to TV programs including Grey's Anatomy and Without a Trace. Recently settling in Austin, I am currently looking for students who are interested in learning piano and experiencing the benefits of an enriching, lifelong passion for music themselves. Just as I was taught by my teachers and mentors, I feel it is essential to include an introduction in music literature, history and theory to inspire students and provide a well-rounded immersion into their repertoire. I am able to provide a solid foundation in Classical training as well as Popular styles and ear training for our future songwriting stars.
