Hey there I'm Jay! I've been playing guitar since I was 14, which gives me a total of 8 years experience playing. I love and play all styles of music, but guitar is my major passion. My favorite bands include The Beatles, The Doors, Queen, MGMT, Foster the People, Lumineers, Pink Floyd, and many many more. As you can tell I'm mostly into the popular stuff as I like to look to these guys for inspiration when both playing and writing music. When it comes to learning I want you to feel the same way about guitar as I do. From the first lesson I'm going to encourage you to tell me who inspires you to play so that you we can work on bringing out the best of your own unique style. We will begin by setting personalized goals whether they're learning a popular melody, chord progression, your favorite song, or even writing a song of your own. Over time you will begin to see yourself getting closer to these goals and eventually meeting and surpassing them. Then perhaps one day you'll be the inspiration for people out there, like you, who are looking to learn!
