Mara Win.

Mara Win. is a performer of solo and chamber music in the Pacific Northwest. She is a specialist in historical flute performance.

In Eugene, Oregon, she helped found the Medieval/Early-Renaissance ensemble Audeamus. Mara has performed alongside the ensemble Sequentia as part of the 2013 Vancouver Early Music Festival. In 2014, she co-founded the instrumental medieval ensemble, Lauzeta, which was featured at the Berkeley Early Music Festival.

As an avid player of Baroque repertoire, she has performed at the American Bach Soloists Academy in San Francisco, CA and will be featured this year with the Berwick Academy at the Oregon Bach Festival.

Mara Win. is frequently engaged as a session recording and performing artist for a wide array of rock, folk and metal bands. She is a member of the Olympia, Washington-based folk-rock group Ekstasis. Stylistically impossible to pin down, their twisting, geometric songs have been dubbed as “Baroque-Folk”, or her personal favorite, “Onieric Psychedelia”. Their debut album, The Book of Longing, will be released on the Oneiria record label.

Mara Win. has studied with Janet See in Seattle, Washington, Molly Barth and Kim Pineda at the University of Oregon and Michel Debost and Kathleen Chastain at Oberlin Conservatory. She is currently a candidate for the Artist Diploma in Early Music at Cornish College of the Arts.

Mara is always interested in new collaborations. Think: recording projects, private lessons, soloist work, mixed media performances, cross-genre pollination, and public workshops.
