I have two great passions in life: playing music and teaching music.  I started playing piano 19 years ago and I have been utterly in love with it ever since.  Piano, for me, always held all the wonders of life and I could never get enough time to play and practice, which is why I went on to get my B.A. in music from Western State College.  Long before college I had actually started teaching lessons though.  I came from a very small town with no piano teachers (I had to drive 20 miles to take my lessons).  So I got my start teaching at a young age.  I immediately fell in love with teaching as well.  Being able to pass on my love music to others seems like the greatest gift possible.  I continued to teach throughout college and I have now been teaching for 10 years. I also have a Master's in Education from Regis University.  I believe that it's important to keep up on how students learn and to be able to learn new ways that I can improve my practice.  Every student learns in their own unique way and I try to bring that knowledge and application to lessons to help him/her to learn piano in the best and most interesting way possible.
