I completed the Drum set Fundamentals Course with Berklee College of Music in 2012. I completed the Introduction to Music Theory class at Valencia Community College. 

I took drum lessons for three years with a drum teacher. He taught me proper technique, song structure, how to play with good, solid timekeeping, and how to play along with other musicians. He also taught me how to play grooves and fills that fit the music. These are all aspects of drumming that I teach my students.

I played snare drum, bass drum, and hand cymbals in junior high and high school. I have played drum set in church for many years and I am currently playing in my church for Sunday morning service. I have also played in three Christian bands and on rock band. Currently I am playing in a local Christian rock band and we play at different churches and venues in Central Florida.

I have taught primarily beginner students and some intermediate students as well. I have helped new students start with the very basics of how to hold the drumsticks properly. I also teach them the different parts or voices of the drum set. I teach how to play rudiments and how to apply them to the drum set. I also show students how to play their favorite songs and I also provide play along music to help them learn many different grooves and drum fills. I am a member of the Professiona Drum Teacher's Guild, the D'Addario Education Collective, and the Sabian Education Network.
