I have been playing the guitar since 1979/80 when I was 13 or 14 years old and I have been teaching privately since 1999. I also teach piano and ukulele.

Students can expect a friendly and fun learning experience. I a patient and will not ove on until you fully understand the lesson.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner -
Students can expect a fun and satisfying learning experience. I teach the basics of bass guitar and will write out alost any bass line to any song in any style.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can expect a pleasant and friendly experience. I am patient and will go over any area until you fully understand it and I guarantee you will learn to play your instrument proficiently.
Formal Education:
B.A. in graphic design but took three years of music theory and the fundamentals of music.
Private Education:
Classical guitar lessons at El Paso Counity College.
Performing Experience:
I have performed in many local working bands and one which opened shows for the band War. I then became a Reggae guitarist and my band opened shows for the Wailers and El Chicano (ex-members of Tower of Power). I have also moonlighted in an Italian duo playing the mandolin.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught about two hundred students since 1999. I have always had 3 or 4 students at any given time but not tons and tons as my private teaching was on a largely part-time basis.

I find Steve to be extremely dedicated to his music, guitar, and most especially to his students. He is always learning new techniques and approaches to his teaching skills which will make learning the guitar more enjoyable to his students.
