About Me

I am a professional drummer and stylist who has been playing drums & percussion for over 25 years. I have traveled cross the United States & Canada to perform stage shows using many styles from Big Band, Smooth Jazz, Latin, Funk, Rock, and Dixieland using melodic rudimentary drumming techniques!

I am known as a stylist drummer with many types of variety in styles. I have done Worship Drumming and numerous recording projects. I lead groups starting out at 14 years old and started professionally performing at age 16. I am called at times to do live performances in Casinos and Major Motown Jazz, Funk and Rock Dance Variety Shows.

I enjoy Teaching Children & adults the how and why of when and where on the specific approach to using drum techniques, and how it can be applied to vibraphone, electronic drumming with complementary correlation in understanding the percussion & tonal attributes of the piano. I also can do drum tuning.

I also can teach audio recording, software Logic , Protools, many others.

My focus is teaching each student that the drums are the heartbeat of the band. Using snare drum to drum set, & hand drum techniques. Understanding the basic fundamentals of counting using different sizes of sticks in understanding tonal and textural dynamics.
