My Name is Beartoe A. and I'm a touring singer/songwriter living out of New Smyrna Beach. I've been playing guitar, writing songs and performing them for 20 years. I went to Stetson University from 2 and received a B.A. in Digital Arts with a Minor in Music. I went into education for the next 5 years and taught Music and art for Volusia County and Orange County public Schools all while continuing my music career. I now perform, write and give lessons for a Living. I love County, Blues, folk, Rock and finger-style (doc watson).

Knowledgeable musician and skilled guitarist
The most important thing any musician can do to improve is to listen and listen well to good records, and Roberto has an appreciation for real craft and tradition from many different genres, from old soul and R&B, to roots music and folk, to jazz and blues from the W.C. Handy era to Herbie Hancock and Jimi Hendrix. This has all translated to a melting pot of a guitar technique that's totally unique and fluid, and most importantly very inspiring. Any student of his will be inspired to strive to have the same love of music and dedication to the guitar that he has. Additionally, Roberto has a technical and theoretical background that many of today's young players neglect and is a skill of its own a student can learn from him that will give you the fundamental tools to be a better musician. I've referred several students to Beartoe over the years with great results. He cares about his students and goes the extra mile even inviting them to open mics. He's versed in many styles and isn't limited to just acoustic guitar. He teaches at all levels but shines in building the foundation of knowledge to make you the player you want to be.
