Hi, I'm Chris. Ever since I picked up guitar at age 15, I knew I was going to change the world. It's my purpose and goal to inspire as many people as possible so that these seeds of knowledge and passion will grow into something truly amazing. When I first started playing guitar I just wanted to play all the classics that everyone wants like ACDC, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix. Soon afterwards I picked up bass guitar and wanted to learn funky rhythms like Red Hot Chili Peppers, jazzy improvisational grooves, and even full throttle bass licks from Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. By the time I was 17, I had hit the stage in the band Kinetic, playing gigs all over the Orlando scene. By the time I was 19 I had picked up an interest in classical guitar music so I took the 2 year music major curriculum at Seminole State College. My newfound understanding of music theory combined with the discipline of playing music for a minimum of 8 hours a day had dramatically made a difference in my own compositions and performance. While I was in college I was tutoring some of my friends for free and one of them told me I could probably make a good career out of it so that prompted me to start teaching lessons on the side to help pay for school. By the time I got out of college I was teaching at least 2 students a day so I didn't need to get a temporary job. Instead I just made a full time career in music education. In late 2008 I started my own metal band called Animus. It was a way for me to express everything I had learned and put it all together without having to conform to anyone else's standards for a band. Now working on the second album we have changed the name to Tales of Massacre. For the past 2 years, we've become much more successful despite our challenges.
