Zeke grew up in the suburbs of New York City, and his music studies have taken him all over the country in pursuit of sonic enlightenment. Educated at the University of Maryland, he studied improvisation, composition and music history. Although he is a sought-after Rock and Metal guitarist, playing in bands like Hair Metal Time Machine and Think Pink Floyd, he has also worked with jazz ensembles and even dabbled in Irish folk music with the Philadelphia Irish Folk quintet Fake Mackenzie. His self-titled solo project is available for free listening on Soundcloud, and it can be described as eclectic jazz fusion/avant-garde world music. In his teaching, he emphasizes metronome use, improvisation, chord analysis and music theory.

I am a very friendly and personable teacher. Although music is fun and it's my job, your progress is a reflection of my ability to communicate my art, and that to me is a sacred thing. I will teach you to play what you love and want to play, but more importantly, I will cultivate your curiosities along your musical journey.
