I am an active keyboard and brass musician in the Cleveland and Youngstown areas. My passion is classical music, and I have been a teacher of it for more than 10 years. I've taught students as young as 5 years old, as well as students in their 70's. I believe that each student requires a unique approach, and that there are many methods to success.
Stephen C has over 12 years of music experience in the Cleveland area.
Stephen C is proficient in and teaches Keyboard and Piano Lessons, Orchestral Lessons .Formal Education:
I possess a B.M. in Music performance and a M.M. in Music performance from Youngstown State University.
Performing Experience:
As a keyboard player, I competed through high school in the American Association of Christian Schools fine arts competition as well as the Ohio Educators Music Association. Throughout my college experience, as a brass player I performed with the Erie Chamber Orchestra, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Philharmonic, as well as a variety of student ensembles at Youngstown State. I also accompanied juries and auditions. After grad school, I took on a job as an organist in a Lutheran church in the Youngstown area for 3 years.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching music lessons since I was 15 years old. I started with piano beginners, and have taught a wide variety of ages over the years. I enjoy having a large studio, and coordinating recitals so that my students have opportunity to showcase their accomplishments, if they so desire.
