Review About Me
Music teacher/performer with many years of varied experience. Instruments studied include classical guitar, electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, piano, organ, clarinet, 5 string banjo and ukulele.
Linda K has over 40 years of music experience in the St. Petersburg area.
Linda K is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Keyboard and Piano Lessons .Formal Education:
Roosevelt University Chicago IL, Bachelor of Music Degree in Guitar Performance, Governor's State University University Park IL-Masters of Arts with emphasis in guitar.
Private Education:
Private lessons from an early age on electric and acoustic guitar. Added classical guitar when entering college. Had also added studying piano, organ, bass guitar, clarinet and banjo. Participated in guitar band at local music studio, family band, middle school concert band including solo and band district and state competitions.
Performing Experience:
Began performing in an all girl band at age 12, continuing throughout high school. Then played professionally in rock/wedding/club bands, flute/guitar, violin/guitar duos for weddings, receptions, dinners, wine tastings and similar events. Also have performed in faculty recitals, pit orchestras and in church worship bands.
Experience Teaching:
Began teaching in home studio at age 14, shortly after at local music studios. Have continued teaching throughout music career including private and group lessons, classes for credit and non-credit at various universities. Have taught music theory classes, rock and roll band classes and have produced many recitals and taught how to prepare for performance.
