Born in San Angelo, TX, on an Air Force Base. Caught the music bug after watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show.

After two years at WSU, I left to go on the road as piano/arranger with Vic Dana, an entertainer from Hollywood who had several hits in the early 60's. Toured for 3 years non stop....jumped off in Dallas in 1980...been here ever since.

Alan and I have performed together as members of a band for about 7 years. Alan's music background and his musical knowledge has far surpassed most keyboard players that I have known. He is a highly respected musician and friend among many musicians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. His knowledge of chord structures, music theory, and composition has been most beneficial. He does well with keyboard technic and adapts well under pressure. Always on time and is always prepared. Alan is dependable, responsible, and committed to the project at hand. Alan is your go-to guy for theory and improvisation techniques
In my 28 years of knowing Alan, I can tell you that he is not only a great teacher but he "walks the walk" by continually honing his own knowledge and skills through independent study. This allows him to continually evolve as a gifted instructor and performer. He is in constant demand as a musician due to his chameleon-like ability to adapt to any music genre and fit in seamlessly into a variety of bands, often at the last minute. Any budding musician looking to learn an instrument or long-time player seeking to expand their performance or improvisational skills will be a better player with Alan's guidance.
